I’ve just finished a big very colorful painting of blue iris. There are 24 iris in a clear vase on my very bright flower tablecloth. Recently I was looking at a painting I made in 2000 called “Vincent’s Iris” and wondered what I would paint like six years later with the same big blue iris, same table cloth, same clear glass pitcher.
