The Green Gulch Farm in Muir Beach, Marin County is a working farm with beautiful gardens next to the ocean and it is a Zen Buddhist center. While there are people around, no one expects you to talk and everyone walking by exudes a peaceful feeling to me. They smile nice. Their eyes are gentle. This makes for a very successful painting experience for me every time I paint there. I used to live in Mill Valley so it was a 5 minute drive to get to this beauty and hike the mountains of the Marin Headlands or spend the afternoon painting their beautiful land.
