Just outside of Petaluma is the largest olive ranch in the United States-The McEvoy Ranch. I have painted it from the road above the ranch in the winter and in the spring. I love the rows of trees, the group of buildings, the water and the green color of the trees from a distance. I changed the background hills to golden orange Tucson colors since I thought there was too much green in the space and I wanted a warmer feeling.
