I have vivid and wonderful memories of life in Sonoma. This is one of my favorite vineyards on Highway 12—very old vines with mustard and a blue mountain backdrop. I wanted to make the sky intensely blue, in spite of the fact that it was rather washed out the day I was there. The mustard was all aglow and in full bloom. That is Sonoma Mountain in the background. In the foreground there were orange buttercups.
