”Pilar, Summer Afternoon” 30” x 36”
As seen in Southwest Art magazine and
Four Fauves in California Exhibition, Santa Barbara, California 2016
This painting was made in September in a small village just south of Taos. I climbed to the top of the hill behind the village to capture this quaint scene. That’s the Rio Grande River running through the village. It was a very hot day. The village with it’s red-roofed wooden church has hardly changed with the noticeable exception of more adobe houses in the village.
I see color everywhere.
