”River Flows Freely” 16” x 20”
This painting was made during a painting workshop in Cuyahoga Falls,  Ohio. Everyone in the workshop painted the river, either plein air or from drawings of the river before and after the dam removal. The Cuyahoga River which runs through my hometown, Cuyahoga Falls, is being restored and several of the dams from fifty years ago are being removed. I was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls and have happy memories of the river, the bridges and Grand Dad’s boat motoring up and down the river in the 1950’s. This painting is the river I remember from long ago with the power house on the left and the dam beside it.
