This small oil pastel was painted on my holiday in Nice, France. This is the view from my fifth floor room at the Hotel Royal, overlooking the Promenade Anglaise in Nice, France. We had a little deck, about 2 feet deep. Just big enough for my husband and me, two small chairs and two glasses of the local rose wine. I sat there above this fantastic view of the Mediterranean Sea and sketched this scene, then painted with my oil pastels.
