After painting “Cathedral, Afternoon”, I wanted to go back the next morning to catch the mountain with different light. It was a very bright morning and the mountain was vibrantly lit. From my vantage point on Sue’s ranch, I could see the creek in front of Cathedral and hear the water rushing through the canyon. It was peaceful. I painted uninterupted for hours before a snake slithered over my boot and I decided I had better move around a bit more, so headed home.
